CITICONNECT API

The intermediary API application that helped Citibank clients automate their banking integrations.

The Client

Citibank, one of the world’s leading banks - and one of India’s most popular.

The Goal

To develop intermediary API applications in multiple technologies for Citibank clients to integrate within their ERPs. for the benefit of Citibank clients.

The process

We worked closely with Citibank’s technical and implementation team to acquire the necessary prerequisites for integrating the Citiconnect API. It was a busy time at Greypath - we ended up building the following features:

  • Payload generation(XML/JSON format)
  • Private key for signing the payload
  • Encryption of the payoad using encryption certificate
  • Host-to-host SSL handshake
  • Generate OAuth oken for authorisation
  • Statement request initiation and download(CAMT_053, CAMT_052 formats)
  • Notification subscription
  • Webhook for incoming transactions
  • Handle JSON Web Encryption(JWE) for incoming transactions
  • Logging of all incoming requests and record headers for future debugging
  • Extensive handover documentation, SSL certificate generation, standard response formats (CAMT_053, CAMT_052)
