A two-time finalist of the prestigious Benzinga FinTech Awards, the goal of New York-based Stocks for the Week is to help people find undervalued stock for long term investment and short term trading based on technical and fundamental stock analysis.
To design an app that recommends stocks to pick on a daily basis, while working on areas such as fundamental analysis, technical analysis, and measurement of stock performance through back-testing strategies.
To simplify the process of investing in the stock market by providing investors with an easy way to uncover undervalued stocks and trends.
In 2012, we began working with SFTW to formulate various trading strategies that we then back-tested with tools like Zipline and Tradestation to improve the performance of stock recommendations. We built customised backtesting tools and algorithms to track stock performance on an ongoing basis, enabling automated research and risk management for over 2500+ stocks. We also mapped and implemented an automated process to aggregate and curate stock data on a daily basis from multiple data providers including YChart, Xignite, Quandl, Yahoo to ensure a minimum 97% to 98% accuracy in daily recommendations. Other accomplishments included designing and building the application architecture for backend analytics and web and mobile apps, and executing UI design for the native ios and Android application.
