The Client Background

IOSL is a joint venture between Indian Oil Corporation, IOT Infrastructure and Energy Services Ltd. and Skytanking Holdings (Germany). IOSL is a leading service provider in Aviation Fuel Farm facilities and in-to-plane services in India across major airports, with a market share of over 60%.

The Challenge

Developing a fuel farm management platform for IOSL daily operations covering fuel farm and into-plane activities.

The approach
and process

Greypath worked with IOSL to improve all processes within the application. Our team also developed a fuel farm management platform for IOSL's daily operations in Bangalore in 2008. That year marked the beginning of a 12 year relationship during which we had a successful deployment at Bangalore, followed by a deployment at New Delhi’s airport as well.


  • Application Development
  • A feature-rich application- Fuel Farm and In-to Plane operations management platform was developed. It utilizes a set of modules that are used for operations and internal staff planning, and regulatory compliance tracking for DGCA, Airports, Customs and Oil companies that helped to increase the frontline productivity of the field officers, operation managers and MIS executives.
  • The app tracks aviation fuel stock levels, operational losses, efficiency and quality of operations. The app also has an ability to update flight schedules, equipment allocation, fueling allocation, shift management to manage in-to plane operations with round-the-clock access to the documents, stocks status and flight schedules.

  • Integration
  • The application integrated with the business systems at the oil companies’ end and helped automate transfer of data to their systems like SAP, Oracle etc via API’s to save time and cost for its clients.

  • Support and Maintenance
  • Have been providing support and maintenance for the last 9 years including database synchronization within locations, offsite data back up service wherein the data from Bangalore and New Delhi airports pushed to our server daily.
